Murder in Montparnasse - Kerry Greenwood This was one of the best Phryne adventures so far. I really enjoyed the bit of Phryne's background. The mystery itself was relatively easy to figure out and I had the killer pegged as soon as he was introduced, but as that mystery was not the real focus of the story it was not such a bad thing.

Early in the book, there was a quote that really struck me. I was floored by the observation and really had to take a few moments (a day) to process it. Things like that happen when reading.

But this really was a great book, both heavier and lighter than it appears.
